Terms of Service

Last updated 15 July 2026

These terms are the agreement between you and SoloSpace for the SoloSpace app and the solospace.dev website. By buying or using SoloSpace, you agree to them. We have tried to write them in plain English rather than the usual wall of capital letters.

The deal

You pay once. You get a licence to use SoloSpace for as long as you like, on up to three Macs you own or control. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.

“Lifetime” means the lifetime of the product, not a promise that we will build it forever. We say what that means under If we stop below, because a lifetime licence with no such clause is not being straight with you.

What you may do

What you may not do

We do not spy on your machine to check any of this. The licence check confirms your account and counts your Macs; that is all it does.

AI is your own

SoloSpace is bring-your-own-key. It orchestrates AI agents using your API keys and accounts. We do not sell AI usage and we do not mark it up.

Two consequences worth being blunt about. First, what you spend with Anthropic, OpenAI, or anyone else is between you and them - we cannot see it, cap it, or refund it. Second, AI agents write code and take actions on your machine, and they get things wrong. SoloSpace shows you what they are doing so you can supervise it. You are responsible for what you let them do. Keep backups and use version control.

Refunds

If SoloSpace is not for you, email us within 14 days of purchase and we will refund you in full. You do not have to give a reason.

A refund ends your licence, and the app will stop working within about two weeks - it re-checks periodically rather than instantly, so that a working app never dies just because you were offline.

Updates

Updates are included at no extra cost, and the app can install them for itself. We may change or remove features as the product evolves. If we ever release a paid major version, your existing licence keeps working on the version it bought - we will not switch off software you have already paid for.

If we stop

SoloSpace is made by a very small team. If we ever shut it down, we will give you notice and we will not remotely disable the app you paid for.

Your account

Keep your sign-in secure; you are responsible for what happens under your account. We may suspend an account that is abusing the service, sharing a licence, or charging back a payment - and we will tell you why.

Warranty and liability

SoloSpace is provided “as is”. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim is limited to what you actually paid us. We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses - lost profits, lost data, or lost time.

Nothing here takes away rights you have by law that cannot be waived. If you are a consumer in the EU, UK, or a similar jurisdiction, your statutory rights stand regardless of what this page says.

Changes

We may update these terms. If a change materially affects you, we will email you. Continuing to use SoloSpace after that means you accept the new terms; if you do not, tell us and we will sort it out.
